At Wooded Acres Dog Boarding, we are dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and comfortable "home away from home" for your beloved companion. To ensure the well-being of all our furry guests and the smooth operation of our facility in Pierz, Minnesota, we've established clear policies. Your dog's stay: What you need to know
We believe in transparency and clear communication. Below you'll find answers to the most common questions about our policies, designed to prepare you and your dog for a wonderful experience at Wooded Acres Dog Boarding.
What do I need to know before my dog comes to stay?
All dogs are kenneled at night for their safety and comfort.
If your dog exhibits aggression towards staff or other animals, they will be kenneled for the entire stay and let out alone for potty breaks.
Male dogs that mark indoors will be required to wear a belly band during their stay.
Please remember to bring your dog's own food to maintain their diet and routine.
Dogs who attempt to escape by digging under fences, jumping over 5-foot fences, or damaging our property in any way will not be able to return for future stays.
For boarding dogs, a late pick-up fee of $15 applies after 3:00 PM, and a $25 doggie daycare fee applies if picked up after 6:30 PM. These fees only apply to boarding dogs.
All dogs must be updated on the following shots & proof must be submitted before their stay. The Distemper & The Parvo Vaccine’s (Distemper & Parvo can be in a vaccine called DA2PPC or DHPP), The Rabies vaccine, & The Bordetella vaccine. If your dog does not have any of these shots please let the staff know immediately.
If your dog is not spayed or neutered please let us know when booking your dogs stay.
What are your cancellation and emergency policies?
We require a 48-hour notice for all cancellations. Clients who do not cancel within this time frame and are a 'no-show' will unfortunately be unable to book with us in the future.
For your dog's safety in an emergency, all designated emergency contacts must be local and capable of picking up your dog if you are unavailable.
It is essential to disclose any special needs your dog may have prior to officially booking their stay with us.
